How to Mark a MLS® Listing as Sold on Your Website

Keeping your real estate listings up-to-date is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and professionalism of your website. Marking properties as sold once the deal is finalized is an important step in this process. This blog post will guide you through the process of marking a listing as sold on your website using the Organic Real Estate Integration plugin, including how to showcase these sold properties effectively.

Step 1: Accessing Your Listing Management Dashboard

First, you need to log in to your website’s admin panel where your real estate listings are managed. Navigate to the section of your dashboard where you can view all your current listings. This area is typically managed through the Organic Real Estate Integration plugin’s interface.

Step 2: Selecting the Property

Once you’re in the correct section, find the listing that has been sold. You can usually do this by searching for the property by address or listing ID. Once located, open the listing for editing.

Step 3: Marking the Listing as Sold

In the listing’s edit screen, look for the option to change the property’s status. You’ll see a purple button at the top of the page that says “Mark as sold“. Click on this button.

Step 4: Showcasing Sold Listings

After marking the property as sold, you may want to display it in a “Sold Listings” section on your website. This is a great way to highlight your successful sales and can serve as a testament to your expertise in the real estate market.

  • Create a Sold Listings Page: If you haven’t already, create a separate page on your website dedicated to showcasing sold properties.
  • Update the Listing: Make sure the listing has appealing photos and includes final sale details, if appropriate. This enhances credibility and provides potential clients with a realistic expectation of market trends and prices.

Step 5: Update and Refresh

After marking your listing as sold and updating the necessary information, remember to save your changes and refresh the listing on your website. It’s a good practice to double-check how the updated listing appears on your site to ensure everything looks correct.

Regularly updating your listings to reflect their current status not only keeps your website accurate but also builds trust with your clients. By showcasing sold properties, you highlight your success and experience in the real estate market, which can be a powerful tool in attracting new clients. Remember, the Organic Real Estate Integration plugin is designed to make these updates straightforward and efficient, ensuring your real estate website remains an effective tool for your business.
